Each month, we invite featured ​speakers to ​lead a conversation. ​We encourage salon ​guests to make new connections​ and to critically think about how technology relates to some of the most important questions we ask humanity.

You're invited to an evening filled with some drinking and thinking!


Activist Noah Kelley will lead a conversation and interactive workshop around security and surveillance in digital spaces using resources and tools developed during his work with local activist organizations HACK*BLOSSOM and Safe Hub Collective. 

 

Note: This month's Drink Salon will feature conversation & discussion as well as an interactive workshop module for guests!


RSVP is required for entrance. 21+ event. Bring I.D.

Seating is limited to 35 guests.  Suggested donation: $8 or pay what you can at door.

 

We'll have some light snacks and drinks (boozy & non-boozy) for you as well! Bring Your Own Cup if you can.

Your donations at the door go directly to help cover the use of the space, drinks, and food that make Drink Salon possible!

Between increasingly draconian surveillance, rampant online harassment, and unprecedented data mining, private data is being exploited to curtail the rights and well being of marginalized communities across the country. Grounded in a historical and ethical framework of revolutionary technology, Noah Kelley will explore accessible tech strategies that allow people of all skill levels to assert their digital autonomy.

As a digital presence, we curate an accessible flow of media, art, and resources that enriches users' connection to technology while centering a social justice perspective: tech tutorials, cybersecurity and digital harassment issues, gallery exhibitions, and tech worker networking.

As a physical presence, we organize grassroots events to stimulate skill-sharing and community building through organic, empathetic conversation outside of traditionally exclusive tech culture.

    Noah  is a software engineer and founding member of local activist organizations HACK*BLOSSOM and Safe Hub Collective. Drawing from his experiences as a queer programmer, Noah's work focuses on the convergence of technology, radical history, and feminism in order to create safer digital spaces within toxic cultures.
